The Elaa Ritual
As a facial oil
After cleansing, mist the face and neck with your chosen Elaa toner. While the skin remains lightly damp, warm one to three drops of your selected oil between clean fingertips.
Press gently over the face and neck, then smooth until evenly distributed.
The amount needed will vary by oil, skin type, climate, and time of year. Begin with the smallest amount and add another drop only when desired.
With a serum or moisturizer
Place your usual amount of serum or moisturizer into a clean palm. Add one drop of your chosen oil immediately before application and blend between your palms.
Press the freshly combined products over the face and neck.
Do not premix and store separate Elaa products together in another container.
As a final moisture-sealing step
Apply water-based serums and creams first. Press one to three drops of oil over the skin as the final step to help reduce moisture loss and create a supple finish.
For the body
Apply several drops to clean, slightly damp skin after bathing. Massage gently over dry or moisture-depleted areas until absorbed.
For hair
Warm one or two drops between the palms and smooth lightly over damp or dry mid-lengths and ends.
Begin sparingly, particularly on fine hair. Additional oil can always be added if needed.
As a scalp oil
Part the hair and apply a small amount directly to the scalp. Massage gently with the fingertips.
Leave on as a conditioning treatment, then cleanse the hair and scalp as desired. Avoid applying excessive oil, particularly if the scalp is naturally oily or prone to buildup.
About the Ingredients
Understanding CO₂ Extracts
Raspberry seed, pomegranate seed, and rosehip seed are offered as concentrated CO₂ extracts.
CO₂ extraction uses pressurized carbon dioxide to obtain oil-soluble botanical compounds. Once extraction is complete and the pressure is released, the carbon dioxide returns to a gaseous state, leaving behind the concentrated botanical extract without conventional solvent residues.
This method can preserve a broad spectrum of delicate fatty acids, antioxidants, carotenoids, phytosterols, and other oil-soluble plant constituents. Natural color, aroma, viscosity, and texture may be more pronounced than those of a conventionally pressed botanical oil.
CO₂ extracts may also feel richer or more concentrated on the skin. Begin with one or two drops and increase only as desired.
